So when it comes to Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remastered, I’ve been extremely slacking in the news department. Why? Simply because I felt as though it was the one Final Fantasy that didn’t require to be remade or remastered. I mean it was the first Final Fantasy game in the history of the franchise to feature actual full voice overs throughout the entire game, the first to spawn a direct sequel off of its success, and the graphics itself were for the most part decent to good enough not warrant a HD remake or remaster. But any who, that’s my opinion and SE felt as though they were right to do a HD Remaster of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.
Now when it comes down to the two games, I love them. Not just X, but X-2 as well. I think that people who heavily criticize and down X-2 dislike the idea having a female lead this go round. Many criticize the idea of Yuna going from being this upcoming Summoner from a great long line of summoners in FFX to being a famous pop star in FFX-2. Well, we learn that this pop star version of Yuna is an imposter. Now as far as later on throughout the game as Yuna takes to the top of the airship the Celsius and holds a concert in the Thunder Plains…eh….yeah….I still loved it though. That moment gave the players to see what happened a thousand years ago through the eyes of a secondary character known as Lenne of whom herself was a summoner and just so happens to somewhat resemble Yuna.
Anyways, both games held great stories that offered great endings, great music by singers such as Japanese folk singer RIKKI, J-pop artist Koda Kumi, and American Singer Jade Villalon of Sweetbox, as well as various tracks pieced together by Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi.
